Living Will, Explained Simply

In plain English: a Living Will puts your wishes about life support in writing — so if you ever can't speak for yourself, your family never has to guess or argue about what you would have wanted. It's a gift of clarity to the people you love. Florida requires two adult witnesses; I make sure it's signed right.

How it works

1

You message me

Text or WhatsApp works best — tell me where you are and when works for you. A photo of your document helps me come fully prepared. Same-day is usually possible.

2

I come to you

Florida requires two adult witnesses — at least one not a spouse or blood relative. Tell me who'll be there and we'll plan the rest before I arrive.

3

You sign, it's done

About 15–20 minutes, witnessed correctly and notarized if you want the extra certainty. You keep the original for your records and your doctor.

Good Questions

Common questions

Does a Living Will need to be notarized in Florida?

Honest answer: Florida requires two adult witnesses, not a notary. But many families and facilities prefer it notarized for extra certainty — and since I'm there anyway, one visit covers both. I'll never charge you for something the law doesn't require without telling you first.

Is a Living Will the same as a Last Will?

No — a Last Will handles your property after you pass. A Living Will speaks while you're alive: it tells doctors and family your wishes about life-prolonging treatment if you can't speak for yourself.

Who can be a witness?

Two adults, and at least one must not be your spouse or a blood relative. Neighbors work great. If gathering witnesses is hard, mention it when you message and we'll sort it out.

Can I do my Living Will, Healthcare Surrogate, and POA in one visit?

Yes — most people do exactly that. The three documents work as a set, and one appointment covers all of them. Tell me what you have prepared when you message.

How do I pay?

Whatever is easiest for you when the job is done. Daytime appointments need no deposit. Evening and weekend appointments are confirmed with a $25 deposit that counts toward your total — I'll send you a secure payment link.

A notary is not an attorney and cannot give legal advice or prepare legal documents. For advice about what your Living Will should say, please talk to a licensed Florida attorney.
